Circa 1600 English Oak Coffer
Stunning patina and general appearance with original ancient wrought iron lock mechanism and butterfly hinges. The box itself is in need of some restoration, mainly to one of the back legs which has been eaten away. The rest of the box is in pretty good shape considering the age, there’s evidence of past repairs and historic wood worm as you would expect! It’s most certainly not beyond repair and with some TLC will make an impression on any room it occupies.
